It's the first clean, non-janky, non-technically awkward Story of Seasons game on a home console since. Even on a technical level, it gives me so much hope for the future of the series. You can set up your own market stall and sell to villagers. You also don't have to wait for Van to sell non-crops/dairy. If you really just want to speed through a day, the simplest way is taking the mountain path to Mineral Town to burn 6 hours and possibly get an effect from it like filling your hunger meter or recovering stamina.Įdit: I forgot. ![]() Something that some folks also might miss in general is that farming/ranching tasks can be done twice a day unlike most other games in the serise. ![]() There's also stuff that changes as time goes on, like the dig site getting bigger and offering new rewards. Not only does befriending people make requests more frequent, including special ones that give unique items, but seeing scenes and getting items as gifts from certain townsfolk will be part of raising your child into their eventual career path. The main thing to fill time with in the first year is befriending people. The farming stuff also isn't as important, especially in your first year when doing stuff is harder and you can't make hybrid crops. You'd probably be shocked to know that the original was SLOWER, both in basic movement and the speed of the clock. It is still a game from 2003, even if it's a more refined version of that game. If you love Gamecube-ass games in this Gamecube-ass year and farm/life sims, give it a try. I haven't made a real attempt at a thread anywhere in over a decade and only hang out here for the SEGA theme so I dunno how to leave it off, but uh, yeah. Hoshina is clearly a big fan of the original game, and really used that love and 20 years of hindsight to make the best possible version of this fondly remembered game.
